Good afternoon not so much a campervan morning as a little later offering. Been a wee bit busy over the last few days so unable to post, plus nurturing a wee lurgy. So this afternoon sitting with some down time and sharing some midday sun. The view is hills and water, swaying coniferous trees and the sounds of blustery breezes on the air. White cumulus cloud, punctuated with the occasional grey. Distant crows and that’s really about it. A self care Sunday sees me just drinking in the views before busyness takes over again it’s been a few days of seeking out balance. A real rollercoaster of a ride when working with nearly 60 people from 14 different countries. It’s been amazing, thought provoking, down right challenging and utterly glorious. Challenging as a drummer, percussionist, facilitator and a man. The challenge also of finding balance for an extroverted introvert, when surrounded by so many people. The challenge to carve out time for hobbies and past times too. Sadly my camera lies gathering dust and that’s ok too. Maybe next time. Balancing the incessant rain with a beautiful day like today. Really the last few days, really have been about balance. Creating it when possible and taking advantage of it when it occurs. It’s self care Sunday, do something for yourselves today, lovely days people.
“ There is no such thing as work-life balance. Everything worth fighting for unbalances your life.” Alain de Botton.
